Meet the bold clinicians and researchers whose work and perseverance push the edge of discovery, and have helped Fox Chase Cancer Center reach our 50th anniversary of excellence in cancer care.

Richard Bleicher, MD, FACS, and Director of the Fox Chase Breast Fellowship Program, was named the 2023-2024 University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship’s Annual Distinguished Commencement Visiting Professor—unanimously elected by the MD Anderson fellows. Bleicher attended a celebratory dinner with the fellows, delivered their commencement address, and conferred with MD Anderson faculty. Bleicher’s illustrious career has been devoted to treating cancer patients and pioneering research on the most effective cancer treatment timing—a leader chosen from among national leaders in breast cancer surgery.

 

Former Fox Chase medical physics chief resident, Teh Lin, PhD, DABR, FAAPM, an Associate Professor in Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Department of Radiation Oncology, has been named a Fellow of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) an award reserved for distinguished individuals who have made significant contributions in the field of medical physics. Lin has been at Fox Chase and involved with the AAPM since 2005. Deeply involved in research, Lin has contributed to over 130 publications covering advances in motion artifacts and laser-accelerated proton therapy—moving medicine into exciting new territories.

 

Former Fox Chase Surgical Oncology Fellow, Sanjay S. Reddy, MD, FACS, Division Chief of Surgical Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center, recently received the center’s 2024 Medical Staff Executive Committee Faculty Citizenship Award. Reddy’s exemplary humanity, expertise, and quality of care is recognized by patients and faculty alike. Beyond Reddy’s dedication to clinical care, he serves as Program Director for the Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship and Co-Director of the Marvin & Concetta Greenberg Pancreatic Cancer Institute.
