Chapters Transcript Video Dr. Steve Sterious here at Temple Health. We have a lot of resources to offer patients for the treatment of BPH which is an enlarged prostate. My name is steve stereotypes. I'm a general neurologist that focuses on Bph as well as kidney stones, recurrent urinary tract infections. And if I can't treat it myself, that's where I can refer it out to my partners who specialize in that here at Temple Health. What our practice brings is a very dynamic way to treat patients. I think it's a unique situation where we have, you know, different specialties, you know, working together for the betterment of the patient and that's extremely rare especially here in philadelphia. You know. Now not every university has each section of urology that sub specialized, that's all in one spot. There are many new technologies that are used for BPH. There is your lift resume aqua ablation, robotic, simple prostatectomy. Hole up our group offers all of those surgeries for Bph aqua ablation is this kind of newer technology uses a water jet and one of the important tools is an ultrasound that really shows you the exact anatomy of of the prostate and gives you that precision and predictability of resection each time because the robot does it. And so that's what gives you kind of those consistent outcomes. So my philosophy is treat patients as if their family. How would I want you know, my mom or dad treated the most fulfilling part of my job really is having a patient, you know come back is that all these problems I diagnosed the problem, I fixed it and now they're doing much better and they don't have that problem anymore.
