Since 2024, the Fox Chase – Temple Urologic Institute has grown exponentially, increasing demand for highly trained advanced practice providers (APPs) to work alongside attending specialists. Recently, eight new APPs have joined the team to address the expanding clinical needs in both urologic oncology and general urology, with clinic appointments often exceeding capacity.

Fox Chase Cancer Center Researcher Secures Funding to Investigate Toxicity Reduction in Bladder Cancer Treatment
Pooja Ghatalia, MD, Associate Professor in the Department of Hematology/Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center, developed a trial to administer therapy for metastatic urothelial carcinoma patients in a new way. The Department of Defense awarded Ghatalia a $1.9 million grant to pursue the research, making it one of only five chosen out of 51 studies.
